🆕 Change vs 9.1
In VCF 9.1.1, each DD that is NEW, CHANGED or RENUM (renumbered, with its 9.1 ID in the tooltip) compared with VCF 9.1 carries a badge, and the sidebar filter Change vs 9.1 isolates them.
🔀 Multi-version Support
Switch between VCF 9.0, VCF 9.1 and VCF 9.1.1 via the header dropdown. Import a new Excel to populate a version's data (same ID → component/type rules as the embedded datasets).
📐 Blueprint View
Switch between all 19 blueprints (5 VCF Fleet topologies + 14 VCF 9.1 blueprints). Each blueprint shows its High Level Deployment Requirements (Physical Hosts, VLANs, Virtual Networking).

v2.3 — VCF 9.1.1 Dedicated Dataset
  • VCF 9.1.1 now has its own dataset built from the official VCF911 Design Library Excel (tools/build_vcf911.py) — 1,330 Design Decisions: 1,191 Both · 87 Excel · 52 Web Doc (Source cross-checked against the live VCF 9.1.x TechDocs design pages, October 2026).
  • Compared with VCF 9.1: 187 new, 92 changed, 107 renumbered (e.g. vDefend SEC-SSP/SEC-MD/SEC-WLD → SSP/MDS/WDS) — shown with NEW / CHANGED / RENUM badges and the new Change vs 9.1 filter.
  • New content: VLAN Backed VPC model, Distributed VXLAN for 9.1.1, EVPN Route Controller Active/Standby and Active/Active, VNA Multi-Rack L3 and rack-fault-tolerant models, License Hub, Distributed Virtual Patching, Private AI Services updates, Frontier AI era security recommendations (Web Doc).
  • New components: vDefend (MDS, SSP, WDS, DVP and SEC-* rows) and License Hub (LH).

  • VCF 9.1 full reimport (tools/update_index.py): the 164 Excel rows cut after Excel row 1184 are now included (Private AI PAIF-* and all vDefend sections); 53 older Web Doc PAIF rows superseded by their Excel version; 51 web-only DDs added from the VCF 9.1.x TechDocs pages — 1,154 DDs (825 Both · 277 Excel · 52 Web Doc).
  • Removed web-scrape artifacts (rows whose ID was a table header or a sentence): 7 in VCF 9.0 (now 680 DDs: 473 Both · 156 Excel · 51 Web Doc) — Requirement ID, Requirements ID, Design Requirements ID, Design Recommendations ID, Design Choice, plus 2 sentence-like IDs; 6 in VCF 9.1 (same kinds); none in VCF 9.1.1.
  • Lateral Security with vDefend Blueprint now populated with 101 DDs (vDefend MDS / SSP / WDS / DVP + License Hub) — the IDs listed on the TechDocs vDefend Lateral Security blueprint pages, using the VCF 9.1.1 text.
  • ID column wider by default and auto-fitted to the longest ID + badges on the page (a manual resize takes precedence).
  • Excel export title and file name now follow the selected version; the built-in Excel import uses the same component/type rules as the embedded datasets.
v2.2 — VCF 9.1.1 Added
  • Added VCF 9.1.1 to the version selector — GA September 3, 2026, per official Broadcom TechDocs release notes. Maintenance release of VCF 9.1 (updated Bill of Materials, no architectural/topology changes) — initially reused the same 19 blueprints and the 998 Design Decisions of VCF 9.1 (superseded in v2.3 by a dedicated 9.1.1 dataset).

  • Removed authentication gate — app is now fully public with no login required.

  • Added Design Library tab: toggle between Blueprint view (5 VCF Fleet blueprints + HLR panel) and the full 687-DD library.
  • Blueprint toolbar and HLR panel now always visible on load.

  • Integrated 42 missing DDs sourced exclusively from the official VCF 9.0 documentation (new components: NECE; new topics: VPCFSVC, SWS, BGP dual-AZ, and others).
  • Deduplicated the dataset — removed redundant rows sharing the same ID and category, reducing from 1,625 to a clean unique set.
  • Added Source filter in the sidebar and Source column in the table (sortable, with color-coded badges).
